Coat Color Calculator
-
I love seeing the possibilities that come from genetics.
I found this calculator that will let you calculate coat color. You just put in the base color of your Sire and Dam and whether it's solid or has some type of patterning. It will then ask for certain traits.. I tested it to see if it's results were accurate.
I tested this Stallion...
BHM Paint Splatters
to this Mare...
G3 MHF 1541193
and these were the results...
So I was prepared for the palomino as usually the higher the probability is usually what happens.
Instead I got a really wonderful surprise and got this lovely little filly.
2162552
As you can see Smokey Black was one of the possibilities, but it was one of 4 with at 12.50% chance.
I provided the link below for anyone else who wants to use it.. obviously it will not work on fantasy genes, but it can give you a good starting point. :) I hope this helps as it has helped me.

That's an excellent aid in planning breedings where color is a priority.
I alsu use this one now and then, it's far more limited and basic! Pretty quick and dirty, and the colors don't always match the way they express on HaJ portraits, but it's quick and very simple to use to just get an idea of what a combination may look like if you can't picture it. Then come back home to run a search and see what it looks like in-game.

I love the calculator BurntHillCreek mentioned! I use it for a lot of my breedings when I want a specific color, and it's pretty accurate.

I used that calculator when I was searching for a RL mare in foal years ago! It was awesome!DivineDreams ~ 30908

So, an interesting find. This calculator will tell you if a combination is potentially lethal. So those working with creams and white can see if the combination they use will actually result in a possible lethal.
Of course they don't have every type of dilution.. as they didn't have just a plain Frame option in their options, so that did alter the results a bit, but it was interesting to see either way. :)~☼~Welcome to Burnt Hill Creek Farm
