Welcome to the wonderful world of Hunt and Jump. This is a fascinating, complex game where players set personal goals and work to achieve them.
You'll find a good basic overview in the FAQ User Guide linked near the bottom of the left menu. It doesn't cover all the fine details, though, so, as kitinaround said, please post any questions you may have.
