Hello, I joined January 21st (I think xD)
I have adored horses my whole life, though I've never been lucky enough to own one. I've also rarely gotten to ride them, so I just love from afar.
I love breeding style games and I am very interested in everything genetics. It's kind of weird since, but this game is actually teaching me quite a bit as well as just being fun.
I only own a cat for now. And, I guess, kind of a chipmunk. It's been in the house for three days, evading the cat and all traps so...yeah.
I think I will always be confused with the hidden Gene's on this game, especially DP.
Pepsi. -
I joined on Jan. 19th. I have played other horse genetic games before so I know the basic things but I've never played with fantasy genes before. For now I'm pretty much bootstrapping all my mares and buying good quality cheap mares at auction. I am going to be starting a Liver/DP herd and an Appy herd and some with both. I am somewhat active on the forum and in the Bootstrapping chat.
In real life, I don't ride or own horses but for many years I volunteered at a therapeutic riding barn for physically and developmentally challenged children and adults (so I theoretically know how to ride but have only taken paid trail rides...the best ones through the Gettysburg Battle Field). I did take a few months of pony cart driving with the mini the barn owned after working to make him loose enough weight to fit in the cart.
I don't have any pets currently but formerly had 6 Bernese Mountain Dogs (my parents showed them), a Golden Retriever, rescued Papillon and an evil 25 pound cat. As kids my sister and I also had hermit crabs and hamsters. My sister also had a rat.
I work as a substitute teacher (grades K-6) while trying to find a full time position. -
Hi, I joined Jan 23rd. I've been into horses since I was born, I grew up with them and have 4 now. Gracie, Lady, Joker, and the newest addition is Dandi. She's the oldest at 24 years young. Her and Lady are paints and sisters. Dandi is Bay tobiano, mostly white. Lady is black tobiano, mostly black. Gracie is my ex racehorse, she's a huge sorrel with a blaze face. And Joker is my butt headed sorrel gelding that fits his name perfectly.
We also have two dogs, both pit bulls, Jezabel and Koa, and one stubborn three year old redheaded little boy running around our farm. I saw the game on FB and have been hooked ever since. -
Hi,
I joined late January, i think it was on my free account and started this one Jan 28th. I played Horse Haven before this, but there was too much you had to do everyday to get ahead in the game, then I saw this one on FB and decided4 to try it out.
I have always loved horses, but had no money for them or a place to keep one. I do have 1 dog (an 8 year old Mutt Named Cessy), 3 goldfish and a bunch of Show rabbits.
I was most confused about show horses and earning points. But I think I am in a good place now, doing a lot of bootstrapping to up the PT level on my herd.
I work on a Pig Farm and have two Boys that are 5 and 7.
I prefer Coke over Pepsi. -
Hi! I joined both HJ1 and HJ2 on Jan 1st...I had played Equine-Ranch before this, but had seen both games about the same time in 2010 or 2011. I had chosen ER at that time because I could choose other disciplines than just H/J. I then had my son and took a hiatus from all computer games. When I came back, ER had been shut down for some new testing for over a year. I finally logged in here and have been kicking myself for not joining sooner!!
I have had horses all my life, my preference being Arabians first and then TBs. I currently own an Arabian mare of Old World Polish bloodlines. She is the last born pure polish granddaughter of the immortal *Bask. She is 8 this year and I am hoping to bring her out in eventing. I also have a dog and a cat lol.
I am always on the lookout for new friends, virtual or IRL.
One that confuses me about the game is how to narrow down my lines and sort my horses. I need all the pretty colors and patterns. Sadly my IRL funds don’t allow me to purchase all the barns and pastures I need!! Lolol #firstworldproblems !!
Coke, hands down!!Watercolor, Chinchilla, Axiom, Nexus, Wrong Warp, Nacre, Ice 5/8, Satin and Pearl -
@levesel2 show horses galore.
If you train and show all your horses first before breeding they will start to fund all your breedings.
Then they sort of take over and start buying themselves new barns because they’ve outgrown the last one and then they find the GMT lab for all the fancy ponies.
But the best part is that you don’t have to narrow your lines down to a single colour (unless you want to, it definitely makes testing and altering a much quicker process) -
@Riley1119, I can buy barns with Hbs, but it’s the pastures I need to be able to organize...I am the kind that wants to be able to organize by line then by generation so that mares don’t lose the boost from being in the pasture! That is the main reason for narrowing my focus for right now! :))Watercolor, Chinchilla, Axiom, Nexus, Wrong Warp, Nacre, Ice 5/8, Satin and PearlThanked by 1ConfluenceFarms

Hello! I joined on January 19th. I'd never played a genetics game before, but saw a post on Tumblr about it and thought I'd check it out. (Now I'm never on Tumblr anymore because I spend all my internet time here!)
I did horse vaulting when I was a kid, and moved into riding from there, but stopped towards the end of high school because I wanted to do theater and there weren't enough hours in a day! ("Yes, theater is a great idea," said my parents who were paying board for animals they didn't get or want to ride.) I live in a city now so as much as I'd love to get back into riding it just isn't feasible. Hurrah for pixel ponies! I do have a cat, and am working on my husband about a dog. "It would be so great for the 3-year-old!" I say, but he's not quite sold yet.
I don't drink a lot of soda these days, but when I do it's Coke all the way. ;) -
I have liked horses for as long as I can remember. My first ride was on a paint gelding named Jocker. He was stubborn, but the perfect horse for a couple five year olds, who have no thought about safety. I’m very thankful he was so patient, and never reacted to anything stupid me and my friend did with him.
I joined HJ2 because I found it on Facebook and decided to give it a halfhearted try. I quickly realized that it has the perfect set up for me to figure out color genetics for horses. Which is something I’ve been trying to do for years but books either bore me to tears, or got me super confused. Now I’m slowly trying to figure out all the different genetics. I’ve only been on for around a month and have already learned tons. Earlier I was teaching my little sister a little bit about the different colors. So I’m committed now for as long as my life will allow me to be. I have a HJ1 account as well.
I have had a couple fish, cats, a dog, a chicken and a rabbit. Pretty much in that order. Today I signed the papers for my first horse. I’ve been waiting for today, for over a decade. She’s a little, three year old, black, Welsh/Morgan cross. I can’t wait to start training her.
Probably the thing that has me the most confused is how to decide what line I should do. Right now I’m just bouncing around trying to figure them all out. The Appaloosa is probably the hardest for me to grasp the concept of.
A practical genetic problem I’m trying to figure out. Is what color genes mare most likely has. And what color of foals she would have if crossed with different color stallions. If anyone wants to brainstorm with me, I’d love to have more opinions.
I like Coke. But Dr Pepper is my favorite
pop. I prefer chi tea or coffee, to pop any day. -
Hi - I am not really new - I am a competition account of Dinascar's who is now concentrating on bootstrap breeding. This is a particular type of breeding where you find yourself the highest grade of stallion you can and breed to foundation mares and then breed the foals back to their Dad. It raises the quality of your herd much quicker. Any other questions just ask :)
However I thought I would introduce myself anyway.
Dinascar has been playing 18 months. Her other account ChilliFireFarm has been playing nearly a year.
I have loved horses all my life but only started riding 10 years ago at the ripe old age of 40. I own 3 horses - a clydesdale x, a cob/thoroughbred and a mini cob. I am very lucky my husband shares my passion and rides too. I am from the UK and also own a cat and dog (a lurcher).
I am a tea kind of girl rather than coke or pepsi or a glass of good red wine ;)

Hey all,
I joined January 12th and so far I am loving the game and have already invested some money into the game for upgrades and of course, went a little crazy with the gene sale Ammit just had. (Thanks Ammit!) I have always loved horses and have ridden them on and off. While living in Utah I was able to ride almost daily and spent hours exploring BLM land on horseback. I loved it so much and miss it a lot. Since moving I have not had a whole lot of opportunity to be on horseback but, thanks to friends, have done some CMOing (competitive mounted orienteering) and trail rides. I don't own a horse currently.
I share my home with two dogs (herding/working type mutts) and one special cat. I am a Certified Veterinary Nurse/Technician and currently work at a specialty and emergency clinic in anesthesia/surgery. I love my job.
I love the community on here and the pace of the game, it's nice to not have to do something here everyday but, if you want, there is plenty to do if you have the time. I would be happy to make a few new friends on here and chat about the game or whatever else we may have in common. Currently in game I'm breeding appaloosa's (riding horses) and my goals are to have large spotted appys (leopard appys especially) and I'll be working DP into my lines as soon as my FF colt is 3.ID: 40723 -
High five to the tea and coffee people! I am so ready for some coffee right now.
@Timelessstars - if you ever wanted to post a picture of your horse, I'd love to see her! My sister had an old style Morgan for a while and she was beautiful (and an amazing trail horse).
@DinaChill - I always aways wanted a draft horse! They're not really common in my area, though. I've hardly even seen them other than in parades and such, but I'm in love with those big floofy feet and broad backs. That's why I breed mostly draft here on HaJ. -
Hey guys - so clearly I started playing in January, went pretty much straight to premium. I've liked horses since probably 6-7 years old, did the horse camp thing for a few years, took lessons, worked at a few stables throughout my teen years, etc. Unfortunately now I'm not able to spend a lot of time with horses which really breaks my heart.
I joined mainly because the game popped up on my facebook one day so I thought I'd give it a shot. I also have an account on HJ1 with the same name. I play another genetics sim called furry paws that I absolutely love and have played for ages (like since 2009).
I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and occasionally beta fish (none at the moment).
I like people and making new friends
I'm not really confused about anything in particular at the moment - I've spent a lot of time reading the FAQ section and in the beginner barn. If anything, sometimes the random mutations like brindle and hidden genes like DP are confusing me a little, but I'm beginning to work that out.
Oh and Coke. Fo sho :)Thanked by 1levesel2 -
Stella I am pretty sure I joined furry paws and hunt and jump 1 on the same day (dec 31, 2006 lol). I enjoyed both but ended sticking with HJ since then. tho I’ve always thought about trying FP again.
I’ve played both servers but this is the account I created for the reach for the stars contest, I’d like to see how far I can take it without using money. This month I’ve worked to pad the bank and next month I plan to start increasing my points.
ETA: or this is my main account that I forgot to log out of the forum with lmao my contest account is Riley1119 -
I've been here for a bit, but I just can't stop making more herd helpers with my weekly pay. At least my show bonus is getting bigger?
-
Yeah, this is the time of the month when I try to sit on my hands and save up for breeding season, but it's hard!
How did everyone do on the rollover? Anyone lose any show horses? I lost one out of a potential five, so that's not too bad. -
I didn't lose any thankfully from this account. My oldest show pony is now 21 :)
Yes this time of the season I am just waiting around sorting barns out and stocking up on some show ponies - can never have enough of them.
Right now Hawke is selling a lot of ponies off for 2.5k and some of them look like they are in good positions in the shows so will make a fair bit of money - already picked up 4 but many left :) -
I lost 3 but they would’ve been 19 so I was lucky they even lasted last roll over
-
I had my first two losses. All in all, I lost about 80 daily hbs from them so it wasn't too horrible
-
Hello my name is Natalie. I have loved/liked horses since I was a little girl. I've always dreamed of owning one but don't have the money or a place to do so. My boyfriend and I have 2 beagles, we just got the new puppy Friday and she is a handful. I love everything about this game. I mostly have Draft horses because I love how big they are.
Pepsi (but would rather have Dr. Pepper) -
Hello! I have loved horses since i was little, and was lucky enough to move to a town with a stable for riding lessons. So from pretty much ten on I've been involved with horses one way or another. I joined HAJ after I saw it on facebook.I used to play equine ranch a long time ago and I've been interested in genetics for awhile. I have a mini aussie, a cat, and two quarter horses, one of which is my new three year old I just started riding:). And coke always ;)
-
hi! I've loved horses forever and currently own two right now. I have a chestnut Arabian and a black Morgan. Both are mares and they are very sweet. I really enjoy horse games and am having a lot of fun with this one so far. Does anyone have any advice on how to be more successful in the game? I mostly want to try breeding for color and breed good show horses. :)
-
I used to play a long time ago when you didn't get daily hbs and you couldn't paper mares until they had three foals, so things are MUCH easier now and I'm enjoying the game a lot, although I'm having a bit of a buying addiction. :)
I don't ride, and I don't own any horses, but I am REALLY into horse racing, especially European racing lately (even though I'm an American). I could talk about my love for Ascot Racecourse all day long. Thoroughbreds are a bit boring color genetics-wise, but they are fast and that's really all that Thoroughbred people care about anyway.
I'm a person who really likes charts and spreadsheets, so a game like this with all the gene crosses is right up my alley!
Also I'm from the south, so everything is Coke to me. -
Hello! i have owned horses my entire life. i currently own 2 and one is due in july.
-
Hi! I have always loved horses.
I have never owned one, but have always wanted to.
I joined because I stumbled across the site and thought it would be a lot of fun. It has been.
I own two rescue kitties. Both are jet black and they are my babies.
I find DP on bays confusing, but I'm working on it.
I've found a great little group of friends that joined around the same time as me, but I'm happy to meet others always. I don't normally bite.
I'm a coffee drinker. But if I have to choose? Dr. Pepper :) -
hiya everyone =) a horse is a being i wish to own one day too they are beautiful powerful creatures who deserve respect and admiration im open to meeting new people on here so feel free to say hi =)
-
ChestnutMare, check out the Beginners barn chat room. Someone is usually around to help out with advice!
-
I joined January 16. Ever since I was a kid I had always loved horses. One of my best friends did horseback riding and I was always jealous of her. For a while, the only horse interactions I had was from games that I had downloaded on my old tablet. I eventually started riding back in 2013, and I've had so much fun since.
I think I saw an add on Facebook and that how I learned about HJ. I joined because I thought It looked kind of interesting. I have two pets, a border collie named Sam, and a cat named Oakley. My dog's birthday was on Monday (April 30) and she turned 9.
I'm always looking for new friends, although I'm a bit of a shy person.
Neither coke or Pepsi -
HELLO I AM DAWN OF WERNERWOODS AND I JOINED IN JAN. I AM STILL LEARNING SOME OF THE INS AND OUTS OF THE GAME BUT HAVE ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH. I ESPECIALLY ENJOY THE BREEDING AND GENETICS OF THE GAME. AND I PREFER PEPSI...LOL
-
hello, i've been playing h&j since june 12, i've liked horses since i was a kid so 19 years. I own a lot of pets 1 horse, 2 cats, and 10 rats. my only question i have about this game is why is it whenever i'm playing it my youngest cat likes to get in the way (only for this game). I'm always looking for new friends so welcome all. lastly, i'm a cherry coke kinda person.
-
Ive liked horses since I was little. Ive been around horses all my life. I currently have one horse of my own. Ive been playing this game for over 5 years! :)
-
I only lost 2 in the rollover this month. last month I lost 4 :( lots of horse left that are 6 and under though. I splurged and bought Nacre and Ice 5 last week, so I am trying to get a lot of babies from them this month. and I am trying to get a Satin line going too, so far I have lots of carriers, but still have about 2-3 more seasons before I get any that show satin. Only bad thing about this game is too many pretty colors to choose from, lol.
-
Thois is the first account I ever created-lol-love this game :)Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms

Hi everyone!
Sorry for my delayed introduction. I joined HAJ on January 30th and went into accelerated/addicted mode pretty quickly.
I don’t currently own or work with horses, but I originally went to school (many moons ago) for stable and horse breeding management, and worked in the industry for several years as a barn manager and as a riding instructor. Most of this was when
I lived in southeastern Pennsylvania, so I was lucky enough to play and work with with a lot of nice hunter/jumper, dressage, and eventing horses. Good times.
I’ve owned several horses in the past—including an Appaloosa, a few Thoroughbreds, and a Shire-Quarter Horse cross—and I’m looking forward to a time when the bank account will let me get back into it. (I currently work in public safety. It’s very rewarding but not super lucrative.) For now I have two cats and a small whimsical fluffy-ish dog to keep me company.
On HAJ, I started out by wildly collecting “ALL! THE! HORSES!” from all over the place with no idea what I was doing. I’m still figuring out what I most want to focus on. I’ve started a liver/chocolate palomino project, with some Appaloosa thrown into that mix. I’m also thinking about starting a roan line since that seems a little less popular and my herd might be more competitive more quickly. I’m open to new ideas.
I’m always happy to make a new friend or ten, so feel free to reach out!
Oh, and neither Coke nor Pepsi. Coffee is the elixir of life. Or iced tea if it’s hot out, but usually coffee.
Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms -
@Bandit1119 - FP has changed a LOT since the old days, so many awesome new things! We would love to have you back! My FP played #784445 shoot me a message if you ever get back!

Hi guys! Hope y’all are having a great day, you should because your playing this game haha :))Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms

I joined January 31st. Last day in January. :D Couldn't be more in time, but almost too late for this post. :-)) I love this game. I was playing Howrse at the time I found this game. Now, Howrse isn't even something I think of anymore. I had a friend on there, but we had a small problem and she stopped messaging me. I miss her dearly, but she won't speak to me, so I figure it's time to move on. I've made a wonderful friend on here, and we may not talk about much other than game stuff, but I couldn't be happier. I have a few Facebook friends, one of which I know for a fact I'd do anything for. She's been my friend through everything and tries to offer the best help possible. I don't know what I'd do without her. The times I thought I just couldn't take life anymore, she was there, and made me laugh the whole time. I can't wait for the day I get to meet her and spend time with her. We both share a wild love of horses, and couldn't be happier about that. She and I collect Breyer and Peter Stone horses, and she's going to Breyerfest this year, and maybe I'll get to go, too. I love painting the model horses, and so does she. I have never found a more perfect friend in my life. I've named a horse/pony on here after her, and she earned that, and so much more. @};- %%- (*) :x o-+Love,

If you can afford $1.99 I would definitely recommend buying the sale pasture and 3mth upgrade - an extra pasture means you can leave all mares in the pasture to collect their breeding bonus and then move them over in small chunks to use different stallions to - very helpful esp if you like frame or have different gens in just one pasture.
Thanks very much Ammit :) -
Hi all. I joined late in January with this account and early February with my 2 account. I have loved horses my whole life and have been lucky enough to own a couple in my life. I worked in Arizona a couple years with mustangs to halter train and gentle them some before sales. At this time I'm unable to own real horses, but have my lovely virtual herds here for now. Hopefully someday I will own a large equine rescue and retirement ranch.
-
How many did you all lose in the roll over last night? I lost 2, one of my adopted horses and an older mare I bought a few months ago.
-
I lost one show mare who had an alright amount of points
-
Hi everyone. I joined January 14th. Had to take a break for a few weeks or so and have actually just had time to come back on. It looks like the layout and other things have changed since I am using a new phone now. As for my love of horse's I have ALWAYS loved them. I also love dealing in genetics as well. I used to own horse's when I lived in the country. I had 6 of them. A quarter horse Akasha, a paint mare Abby, Sassy a little paint filly she was Abby's daughter, Scoot a paint stud colt he came with Abby and Sassy, Midnight a rescue girl that was fully blind, and Maggie another rescue girl that was blind in one eye. As of right now I have 1 kitten named Sky, 1 purebred doberman named Sain's Sweet Baby Kelsey, and 3 purebred American Bully's named TNA Bullies Kain, TNA Bully's Andre Dragomir, and TNA Bully's Kinky Kingster. As for confusing issue's I haven't really found any yet. Now as for the Pepsi or coke. I actually drink coffee, tea, and Diet Coke. Gotta have my coffee especially first thing in the morning and a cup or two throughout the day and tea and soda in between. I also drink kool-aid sometimes but I only like 2-3 flavors of it and it helps when you got kiddos that you don't want drinking the other stuff lol.Thanked by 1levesel2
