Free way to get more stalls in the barn? [Solved]
-
I have tried to look it up but am having trouble figuring it out. I saw a post that said you have to breed horses to get more stalls, but that doesn't seem to be working.. I'm really new to the game, sorry..

You gain 'experience points' toward additional stalls by creating horses. I don't believe breeding contributes to your points. There's a slider bar on your home page that shows your progress.

When you create a horse, you get a tiny amount of XP. Over time that XP builds up and leads to new stalls. It's a very slow process, though. You can see your XP level on your "Member Home" page.
The other thing about XP is that you get XP for creating a horse, but you lose it when you sell the horse, unless you use the "sell back to game" button. You only get 1000hb for selling a horse back to the game, vs. 2500 for putting it into the auction. Early on in the game, I find I need cash more than anything so I auction most of my horses instead of selling them back to game. (And of course, if you generate a horse through a Herd Helper, it costs 2500, so if you sell back to the game you take a loss of 1500hb.) -
Oooh! That makes a lot more sense now. Thank you!

Breeding a foal counts towards the exp points needed to earn a new stall
