  • and even when I go on my computer to take them out It still does not work
Life is Special live it to your fullest
  • is your primary barn full?
  • No

  • Wait since my upgrade was lost my primary barn was put back down to 25 stalls instead of 80. That stinks

  • You'll probably have to take them out before the end of breeding season, if you want to keep them. Unless you win the last free basic upgrade in the lottery.
  • Yeah you will have to empty enough space in your primary barn to remove those horses from the pasture.

Mares and studs you should be able to leave in the pasture safely but the foal will have to be removed before the pasture clear out date

  • You can leave mares and stallions in the pasture indefinitely?
  • Yes. If you leave stallions with mares, the pasture will autobreed when that feature runs on whatever designated date that is. But if you leave foals there, they get Yummed close to the end of the month.

Mares accumulate a breeding bonus for time spent in pasture before foaling from a pasture breeding. That bonus resets once she has a foal, so a mare that lives in pasture would have the maximum foaling bonus every breeding season, thus producing better quality foals. The offset there is twofold: she can't show from the pasture and she can't be bred from straws. Pulling her out of the pasture to breed her with a straw eliminates any bonus she's accumulated.

Stallions receive no bonus that I know about from sitting in the pasture...

Hopefully if I've got any of that wrong, someone more experienced will correct me.

Oh--the other potential downside to breeding mares in your pasture is you can't pick which stallion mates which mare if you're using multiple stallions in one pasture. This means if you have potential lethal white issues, you can't easily control for it. If I get hbs from my SS I may invest in a shiny new Lethal White pasture or barn because I lost quite a few frame to frame or frame to white foals this season because I kept forgetting!!!
  • Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that the stallion and mares would be Yummed at the end of the month with the foals.
