I started playing in January, and someday I dream of line-breeding a bunch of blue roan horses. But first I need to make some hb and increase my showing bonus so that I can get closer to reaching that goal!

If anyone has a stallion with decent papering who they were maybe going to snip or toss into auction... I'd be super excited about a roan or a black but honestly it doesn't matter -- this is about breeding myself a show string.

I feel a little weird putting this out there but if I don't ask I'll never know... maybe a good horse for me is out there and about to get snipped if we don't find each other! ;)

I can get you started on your own line if you want to start an even breeding line. I breed blue roan appys. I'll post a few foals I have from this season.

Thank you ChevalStables! I do have some foundation and gen 1 (or should it be called gen 2?) roans that I love and definitely want to keep even breeding.

They're second gen. They will throw a lot of Snowcapped, leopards, and few spot Appaloosa.

I have this guy you could borrow (or purchase), I've been primarily using him to make show foals as he's uneven, but he may be just the thing for someone looking to bootstrap.

RubyJo's boy is gorgeous. He throws some really pretty babies. And he has the satin gene! He'd be a great sire for the bootstrapping line.

GrumpyGen, you should join in the Bootstrap breeding chat room! There are plenty of star studs up for breeding in there, some as low as 50hbs. Also sometimes people will put up their colts that pass BA but they don't want to keep.
