Snowflake

Trying to figure out the genes responsible for snowflake on here? I can’t seem to pinpoint them as horses advertised as hom snowflake seem to have different genotypes. Also is there a way to gmt showflake?

Snowflake is a hidden gene. You need hom snowflake and at least one Appy gene to get a snowflake horse to show.
I believe snowflake's in the GMT lab yes. -
Snowflake is available in the Gene Modification Lab on rare, limited occasions.
For a horse to display the white spots that are signs of Snowflake, it has to be at least heterozygous Llp and homozygous for the snowflake gene, which does not show up on the gene test. It is like Gulastra Plume and Kit Promoter in that it can't be tested for.
Snowflake is part of the appaloosa complex of genes, that work together to produce the variety of patterns that produce Appaloosas. The only two that are testable are the leopard gene itself--Llp, and the ECA3PPATN1 gene. Everything else is hidden.
You will find both Leopard and PATN1 discussed in the Documented Genes of the Genetics Guide.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Thanks. I was just trying to see if it actually showed up in the genetic code, but apparently not. Thank you so much for the info! I really appreciate it :)
