Did I do the right thing?

I by mistake bred a Yellow mare to a B stud and the offspring became Blue papered.. Is this a good thing or should I avoid this in the future? (In breeding aspect)

You got a lucky hit there! The difficulty with breeding yellow to B is that it is harder to get an intact foal. It can definately be done (as you can see with your horse), it will just give you a bit higher percentage of altered foals. This mare is without a doubt better than both her parents, and an awesome mare to keep for your breeding program :)Thanked by 1Stefliz

I think you had extremely good luck with that cross. That said, her breeding ability is just into the Blue range, not a high Blue. She has a nice PT score for a 2nd gen as well.
You would be more likely to get Red papered mares, and occasionally Yellow ones with this cross, but there's nothing intrinsically wrong with doing it. Once in a while, the virtual dice swing to the top of both parents' ranges, and you get a pleasant surprise.
There really is no one way to play this game. There are only ways which enable you to reach a personal goal.

Woah thanks @Maribo :D
I don't love the color but she will get the chance this couple of months to have babies and cross her with a nice app stud

Congrats on a lovely mare :)

Congrats! I do that cross a lot. I get fewer intact, but the improved quality to me is worth it.
