Welcome to the wonderful world of Hunt and Jump.
There's a good overview of the game at the FAQ User Guide near the bottom of the left menu. It doesn't cover all the things about this complex game, so you'll probably still have questions. Never fear. We are a friendly group and like giving new members a helping hand. Just post your questions and someone will give you an answer.
Hunt and Jump is not a competition between players. Our opponent is the life-like variability built into almost every aspect of the game, so it's generally impossible to predict exactly what will happen. This helps keep the game interesting, though it can be frustrating from time to time.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
