How do I decide.
-
I have several foals all are Pearl carriers except for one. All are A or B or Red and blue. How do I decide which ones to keep. Also one is liver.

That is the dilemma lol! Keep the ones you most want for your breeding program. Keep in mind too that even if you don't plan to use a horse for breeding, if they have a nice PT then you can geld them and make them good earners for your barn.
I'm probably not much help-I have way too many B stallions I keep because I think they are beautiful!Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms -
Are the foals better, the same or worse than their parents? If worse, I would geld/spay. If the same, I would keep the girls and geld the boys. If better, I would keep all the girls and 1 or 2 boys. Definitely try to keep as many gelded/spayed as you can, as these will be your main money earners once they age up a bit. A good show string can fund a lot of projects.#28036
