Edit: It's because I usually breed horses with both Sooty alleles and this lady is recessive both. XD Nevermind, nothing to see here, people -
I think it is only the homozygous sooty ones that are really dark. That is what the non-sooty ones usually look like.I was jllewis on the old forum.
