hello i am kinda new to this still so needing some help. how do i edit my default image it doesnt allow me to select a jpg or anything

The default image is one that will appear on every horse's page, so first you have to create the image or have someone make one for you. You need to have ownership of the image or explicit permission to use it, and that permission needs to appear in the image. Then that image needs to be hosted on a website that allows direct linking to individual images. Photobucket is one such hosting site, I believe. There are others, though I'm not familiar with them, since I have an account of that sort at PBase for which I pay an annual fee.

Once your image is hosted at a site that allows such sharing, then copy the url of the image itself, not the page it's on, and paste it into the space on the page for editing your default image.

The default stable image? I was playing around with that and then discovered I couldn't actually have no picture once you have put one up. I didn't realise you had to own.have permission for the image though, I just picked the smallest one I could find so it wouldn't take up too much of the page.... Please don't kill me Ammit!
Is there anyway to get rid of the image aside from replacing it with another?

You could try just deleting the link in the default image box and clicking "Edit Stable Image."

I did that. Many, many times. I will upload a photo of my own tonight to use from here on out.
How do I make the permission appear in the image? What exactly does that mean? Or is that only if the image is not owned by you?

I created my HaJ 1 stable image in Photoshop and was able to insert text into the file.

I do the same when I make one for someone else.

Thanks lovely. I'll have a think on it today and see what I come up with tonight.

I'd love your help trying to think of a name for my breed as well, I can't really think of anything as I found the instructions a little confusing. More than a little. Very. So I would love to pick your brain in that department.
I'm pushing myself to go to the craft shop but will be back online later :)

My breed names are taken from the name of my stable SandyCreek. It's SandyCreek Farm in this game and SandyCreek Acres in HaJ 1. What I did was to use online translation tools to translate sandy creek into various languages and then choose the ones that sounded best. In HaJ 1 it is Bachsandigan (German), and in this game it's Sandbuktian (Norwegian).

I'm not sure if other languages have really EMBRACED vegemite the way they should have... There may not be a translation for that :))

Honey, nobody in the world has embraced Vegemite except very strange and crazy Aussies. I protest its inclusion in my (otherwise very American) pantry! But my husband insists, and if all it takes to keep him happy is a jar of leftover brewery waste, who am I to argue?

That said, I have a couple suggestions. They could be Strayan horses. Or you could look up "black paste" or "black spread" or sandwich or toast or however you prefer to eat it, which keeps you from having to deal with the brand name but still gives you a sly tip of the hat, even if only you understand it.

Was also thinking on playing on Hundred Acre Woods (Stable name) but I'm not sure I can go past Strayan! Or Straylan as we generally tend to pronounce it.

Honestly, if you are raised on Vegemite, its the best thing in the world, especially if you are feeling unwell. Technically I'm not supposed to eat it as contains so much malt and I am allergic to gluten, but its not like you need a lot for the taste. Vegemite and butter on toast- the cure for everything! My mum would cut them into 'soldiers' which is basically 3 or 4 slices of the one slice of toast.
Can you buy it in America, or do you have to order it in? Just curious!

I live in Aus. My horses on this game are Ausmerican, just like me! You couldn't pay me enough to move back to the US!

Also, a friend of mine who lived in Aus for 2 years, Canadian, has requested I send her some Vegemite :P And Chippy salt! Apparently they don't have it over there.

You can't just delete the url of the image, replace it with a space and that will set it to nothing.
