Woohoo! One thing I adore about winter is the slim chance of snow we get here in Alabama - and last night I was thrilled when we got some of the white stuff! We ended up with an inch and a half (enough to shut down any small southern town). Having only seen snow a handful of times in my life, I am of course ecstatic and am sharing my giddiness with a giveaway. Up for grabs: a First Snow mare, two snowflake show ponies, and a set of three straws from a het. snowflake stallion. Does anyone sense a theme? All you have to do is put down your user number and number yourself off. I will randomly draw sometime on Tuesday.

I enjoyed for the five hours it stuck around. The kids enjoyed it marginally less than me. They were little kids the last time it snowed. None of the animals knew what to think of the snow. It was funny watching them huddled around the doors to the sheds/barn screaming for help!
@ElementalStables it will probably be the only snow day of the year for us - maybe even the only snow day for the next five years or so.

I live on the south dakota/Nebraska border and it snowed for the first time this winter just 4 days ago! I love the fresh clean and cold smell snow brings! My dogs love to play in it. Snow gives them the zoomies. Honestly can't imagine a winter without snow. I've never not had snow, I ev3n remember how we used to get blizzards when I was a kids. Perks of growing up in Nebraska I guess :D

Here in central PA, I'm shocked we haven't seen any snow and you southerners are getting it all! Just the other year we had a nice snowfall of 31" at my house and though it was ridiculous to plow/drive in, I kind of enjoyed the crazy high amount all at once!

We haven't seen a single snowflake here in Oklahoma yet......it's been more of a desert during the day (We get hot days every now and then) and it's really cold at night.
