RIP- Alpine Hummingbird and Baked Alaskas
-
I didn't lose as many horses as I thought I might this month. But I lost my second and third favorite breeding mares last night.
Alpine Hummingbird, http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=83868
and Baked Alaskas, http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=90404.
They both earned good points and had nice profits too. I have offspring from them that are already doing well in both points and earnings. Alpine Hummingbird was almost always on the White and Black breeding clubs Top Producing Mares lists too. She had a couple of Championship trophies for the same lists. She will be greatly missed come breeding time tomorrow. Baked Alaskas was one of my main buckskin mares in my breeding program for buckskins. RIP in the endless pasture in the sky my baby girls. -
I had some devastating losses, including my two first GMT'd foundation stallions, and probably my second favorite horse overall, plus a whole lot of show stock (50 horses total). Ouch.

Ouch Abbey Road, that is what I was expecting this year also. I was surprised it was only those two and a spayed mare that had earned a lot of points also. She was one of my first Secret Santa gifts, and one of my best show horses also. I will probably lose a lot next season. I have some more older horses I did expect would go this season that didn't.
