DP VS sooty buckskin
-
I breed for DP in buckskin, brown, and chestnut but need some examples of the difference between dp and sooty in brown and buckskin.
I think I know the difference but not well enough.

Bay is just confusing. I know a few of my bay and brown horses have so but I think it's easier for other member to just view each batch on their own to pick examples from rather than me picking and choosing wrong

Remember you cannot compare At a horses to At At Horses! They are vastly different color wise.
There is a little bit of DP brown at the bottom of this thread but I don’t think there has been a comprehensive thread on brown, brown buckskin or regular bay buckskin. I do still have regular buckskin on my list to do, but I’m a million miles behind this breeding season already so it will be the end of the month before I have time to do it right. -
I have a few horses which might help you to compare.
GA Raggedy Man II
This stallion is StySty aAt and het DP.
Human Nature DP III
This is one of his sons and he is StySty aAt and is homozygous DP (I am 99% confident with this). He's thrown Liver/Chocolate for every red foal he's produced and all of the bay/buckskins are suspiciously DP looking too.
Tinkers Gold IV
DinosOnASpaceship IV
To contrast, these two are AtAt het DP buckskin (foals of the above stallion and I am pretty sure they aren't hom DP). They look very different from the Ata DP horses.
Now I think I've labelled all these correct, but anyone more experienced than me feel free to chip in
