Am I the only one the keeps 3 gen Red mares and a few B Colts? With non boosted lines? But I expect the foals to be A and blue by 4 gen I hope that does not mean my horses are poor quality most of my 2 gen horses were tube babies that's why I give some slack but all the mares have 30 days pasture bonus so the foals should not be to horrible lol I don't know what do you think?

I think you should breed in whatever way gives you joy. It's a game.

I personally do require my gen 3 colts to be As, but I have no problem breeding them to Red mares. But then my kids all get pasture bonus from foundation gen on as I do a very small proportion of test tube breeding.

I think it seriously doesn't matter as long as you're having fun and seeing what you want to see.

I keep Reds. I have a ton of Gen 3 Reds and B's. Trying to keep only A's and Blues for 4th but I think I do have one or two reds cuz I have so few 4ths. :)

i mostly keep a lot of Red & B papered horses :D since i don't have line of my own so i usually experiment by breeding B x Red Papered together :)
i managed to get an A papered colt out of my Freaky Dreamer stallion :x i don't own the dam of the colt though.

Do whatever you want! I only keep Blue/A at 3rd gen, but I have aaaalooooot of ponies. I'll take any reason I can to lower the number of breeders :P

I only keep A papered colts in Gen 3, because I am trying hard to weed down my boys (so many stallions....). Girls though I'll keep Red papered because I get so few Blues right now.

I also only keep A papered boys at 3rd gen but i'll keep red or blue for fillies at 3rd gen :) At 4th gen, I keep only blues and superior A's.

Thanks everyone yes I do have a ton of altered horses and a ton of breeders to I think I need to go threw and cut some that didn't paper where I wanted I do love the show ponies lol
