Breeding advice
-
I'm new, and every time I try to breed my horses it always says I don't have any mate to breed to my stallion, I have a mare and a stallion neither are spayed/geld. Does anyone know why this is happening
-
How old are your horses? Stallions can't breed until 3 yrs old and mare have to be 4 yrs old.
-
I took a look at your horses. You have two stallions of breeding age, and one mare of breeding age. Your mare, however, has already been bred to this season, and so you have to wait until next season, which is next month, to breed her.
To breed your boys, you can either buy a mare who hasn't been bred from this season, who is of breeding age (4), create a mare of breeding age, or search for horses who are up for brood and use them.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -
fj has given you the correct answer. I've checked out your primary barn, and Ebony Mae is the only mare old enough for breeding. She's already had this year's foal.
If you can afford it, you can check out the Foundation Rescue, which saves perfect foundations and offers them for sale at just a bit over create price. Go to Community, Search Horses, and enter 13 in the owner ID slot. Select mares, more than age 3, and uncheck Bred this year. You can also specify bone density or height if you're looking for a certain size to match the stallion you wish to breed.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
