Wanted: Appaloosa Straws
-
I've been breeding appys since I started and I've completely revamped my stock several times. I'm kinda bored with them, they're all gorgeous but all a lot the same because my foundations are a lot the same. I'm interested in buying or trading for straws, for either appy studs (any generation) or non-appy studs who are not carrying varnish, especially in upper generations.
* Absolutely no varnish, and no tobiano, I don't like the way they mix. Not fond of roan in my apps either.
* S+ is a huge plus... appy isn't a requirement here but VV is.
* At and DP are huge bonuses, if you have anything, Lp or not (VV still required). I'm not real sure about A+ since it'll hide my hard worked for browns, but since I'm bored with a hundred silver pearl browns, I'd consider it.
Definitely interested in trades, take a look at my stock and message me with a trade offer (382). Bear in mind that some of my stock is in house only, but feel free to ask unless there's a specific note that says in house only. -
You're probably pretty familiar with my stock at this point, but feel free to look through my boys who are of age (or younger if you want to wait):

In particular you might be interested in Huracan:
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=195233
He is LpLp and VV. He's given me a lot of nice foals. He has a 3 year old colt (Relampago), but he is VVrn.
There are also quite a few DP's. Ones you may be less familiar with are Slate, Obsidian Resolve (homozygous DP red dun), Aoki (I'm fairly certain), and the new black chestnut boy.
If you decide you want to go beyond just straws, I am not terribly attached to many of my appy fillies. If you see something you are really interested in let me know and we could probably work something out:
Huracan's: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/adv_search.php?status=any&ageg=&agel=&agee=&erag=&eral=&erae=&f_basic=none&f_adv=none&tattoo=&f_limit=25&mare=1&name=&name_lm=like&color=&color_lm=like&bty=1&lined=lined&foundation=1&sire=195233&dam=&barn=&owner=&breeder=&e1=1&e2=1&a1=1&a2=1&f1=1&f2=1&p1=1&p2=1&s1=1&s2=1&s3=1&c1=1&c2=1&c3=1&d1=1&d2=1&g1=1&g2=1&ch1=1&ch2=1&z1=1&z2=1&sa1=1&sa2=1&kit1=1&kit2=1&kit3=1&kit4=1&kit5=1&kit6=1&kit7=1&kit8=1&kit9=1&sp1=1&sp2=1&rb1=1&rb2=1&o1=1&o2=1&l1=1&l2=1&v1=1&v2=1&brindle1=1&brindle2=1&patn1=1&patn2=1&patn3=1&patn4=1&patn5=1&patn6=1&wf1=1&wf2=1&wf3=1&wf4=1&wf5=1&wf6=1
Because appy is not my absolute favorite thing to breed for, I am in the habit of gelding/spaying just about anything that isn't LpLp. If you want I can let you pick through the heterozygous ones this season before I snip them.
Oh and I almost forgot, last season I bred this colt: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=212226
I haven't gelded him since I think he's lovely, but realistically I don't see myself using him much. If you were interested I would probably sell, since I know you'll make better use of him than I will.
Sorry if that was more info than you needed, appy is one of those patterns I'm not super excited about so I have lots to offer. -
I'll need to go through my stock to see who doesn't have Varnish, but I know this one doesn't and I can send you some straws from him. He is definitely DP.
