Gray/DP color question
-
I just created this horse and the color behind her gray looks much darker than most of the chestnut horses with one copy of sty. Is this look caused by the gray or does she have DP thrown in there as well? If she does have DP I will probably turn her into a stallion but I hate to do that without knowing for sure. Thank you in advance :)

I would say yes she's DP. She's even really dark for a het sty so I'm thinking possibly homo DP. That's just my opinion. Hopefully someone else will back my opinion.

Gray makes horses darker. Probably normal chestnut.

Ok, thank you!

Best bet might be to try breeding her to see what she throws - if you find a double sooty chestnut and the baby turns out liver she'd have DP.
