    When I look at my Herd Helper and other people's Herd Helper, I notice that there are ranks going from 1 to 5. What are the ranks supposed to mean? Are the ranks for good consistency or for cool patterns? Thanks!

    The ranks just indicate how rare a colour or colour combination is. The only ones that dictate breeding or showing are those that have it in their name ((eg top notch producer, great show horse)). There is a rank 6, which are the rank specials. They are always at least PF equivalent, and many have rare genes.
