Consistancy
-
I have two horses from two different accounts.
1. Casanova Royal
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=214462
Show Placing: 1,4,2,3
2. Lexington
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=212934
Show Placing: 1,1,1,1
Both horses are the same gender, age and level. Casanova tested consistent Lexington tested Inconsistent. But as you can see above, out of four shows Lexington has placed first in all but Casanova has placed differently each time. I would have expected Casanova to have a show record like Lexington and visa versa. My question is, why is an inconsistent horse placing consistently and a consistent horse placing inconsistently??
I know its only been four shows and things could change but if this pattern continues it's going to bug me. Do other factors come into play here? Or is it a bug in the system?
Please help, and thank you for any feedback :) -
Hmm so consistency has to do with a horse's score, not his placing. Additionally, there is a spectrum of consistency and inconsistency, so two horses who test the same can have varying degrees of whichever relevant trait.
That being said, I am puzzled by your consistent horse's jump in score. Going from 10 to 16 in the same training week is a big jump IMO. I'm curious to see what other players have to say. In fact both of your horses seem to be making awfully big jumps (which is not a bad thing, IMO). That could be due to some amount of inconsistency. I'm going to go hunting through my foundations and see what I can find. -
Hmmm. I have in the past noticed some inconsistent scores with my consistent horses. I actually have inconsistent horses that place better and score better than my consistent horses. I think its a lot of proof that consistency doesn't matter. Just like horses in real life, some will show well and some won't. I'd say they are both good show horses and I'd keep them haha in case you ever think about getting rid of them. And monitor their scores. With each training they should go up about 3 points. Some need to be held from shows and just trained until they can meet the score and some don't. Just like horses in real life :) I enjoy the accuracy of this game haha

Kaquel, kind of a side note but almost my whole barn gains at least 7 points (some of my lined horses and gelded stock are gaining as much as 10 points) every training. I keep track of that pretty closely. Here are some examples:

http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=150160
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=192053
Like I said, pretty much my whole barn is like that. So I'm pretty confident that whole 3 points per training idea is not accurate. At least not on hj2.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

What the heck...I can't find a single horse of mine like that. I was thinking maybe older foundations could only improve by 3 points but it was changed so that more newly created horses were different...but I haven't found one yet.
All of these guys are foundations:
9.9 PT, 3 point increase: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=207459
9.9 PT, came from the rescue, 3 pt inc: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=150985
9.9 PT, from rescue, gelded, 3 pt inc: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=157478
9.9 PT, from rescue, 3 pt inc: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=190778
Also, some of your guys were created before some of mine so there's no way it's what I said above.
I am totally confused.

Here's some examples who do not have a 9.9 PT and are not from the rescue:
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=193562
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=19426
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=196504
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=196576
There are some inconsistent ones in there too, but you can see that on average they gain 3 or so (less of lower PTs) points per week.
I noticed you don't have auto-trainer, right? Maybe it's a bug with the auto-trainer? -
That is really strange! I wouldn't have any explanation for it. I doubt they would gain more just because I own them and train them. That seems like a pretty big bug... Here's at least a few more I found with a search owed by other people.

Yeah, I'm not upgraded so no autotrainer. Maybe wait and see what others are experiencing. That is just super weird.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

I just did a preliminary search and didn't see any of this from a few other players. Here's some ~3pt ones:
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=180057
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=167031
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=160304
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=163691
Do you have any horses that do not train with the increase? -
Okay, it's definitely not just you:

This is a search of highest training level foundations in the game. I'm clicking through and so far none of these players are upgraded. All of these horses level off soooo much higher than anything I've seen on HJ2. -
I have no horses that are that good xD Mine all seem to get 3-5 points per training... sometimes even less. I use auto trainer, though. Hmmmm wish mine got points like that haha :P
-
Sounds like it could be the auto trainer then. I wonder what range Ammit intended...
Is there any way for you to use the normal trainer and see if it produces a higher gain on one of your horses next week Kaquel? That would be an easy way to test your theory out.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

Hmmm I will try to get to them before the auto trainer does tomorrow!
-
I thought auto trainer ran during the midnight rollover, when things are shut down for that procedure.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Yes, SCF, I believe it does too, so she will need to turn off her auto trainer today, before she can train them herself tomorrow.
-
I don't think you can turn autotrainer off. But yes, it does seem like it runs at rollover.
I am going to try creating a horse, showing, hand training, and showing again. -
Interesting. My horses are like that - specifically, Brood Mare II and Fall of Gold.
signature removed for being to big. -
Yeah I definitely think it's the autotrainer.
http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=217326
This mare was shown once, trained, and shown again. Look at that increase. -
I'm going to go ahead and do that.
-
Yes. Yes. Bug section!!!
-
Awesome thanks :) I would have done it if no one else did, but I thought one of you guys should do it since you found the bug.
