When your in your primary barn you should see a box called "Stable facilities" in that box should be something called my pastures click on that and you can pick which stallion and which mares you want to breedLife is Special live it to your fullest
-
Mares have to be at least 4 years old to breed with no foals this season and stallions at least 3 with under 50 foals this season. Both are too old to breed at 20.
There are 2 ways for a non-upgraded account to breed.
Using the pasture is the least expensive way to breed (500hbs vet fee per foal), but you have to own both the stallion and the mares. You put your horses into the pasture and then either click the "Breed All Your Pastures" button or wait for the pasture to breed automatically around the 14th of the month. If you leave your mares in the pasture for as long as possible before breeding them, you will get better foals. Normally when you breed two horses their breeding ability scores are combined with a random number twice to determine the training and breeding ability scores for the foal. For each day (up to 30 at which time the bonus maxes out) that the mare stays in the pasture before being bred, the bottom end of the random number is reduced, so you have a better chance of getting a foal from the high end of the possibilities for that cross.
The other way to breed is to use a public stud which costs 1000hbs vet fee plus the stud fee. You can find lots of stallions for stud by using the horse search and clicking "for breeding" in the status section at the top right. You can sort them by breeding price from the Basic Sort drop box. Once you find a stallion you like, go to his page. There will be a "Breed to This Horse" button at the bottom of the horse info page. When you click on it it will bring up a drop box (at the top of the page) with all your breedable mares and a box for the foal's name. Pick a mare, name your foal and click "Create Foal." If the page reloads without creating a foal or giving an error message, the name you chose is probably in use. Choose a new name and try again. If you want to use this method to breed two of your own horses, you put one of them up for public stud from its Control Panel, by setting a breeding fee. If you set a low stud fee it is best to put your stallion up rather than your mare in case someone else breeds to it before you do, since stallions can have 50 foals per season and mares only 1. If you set your fee high, be sure you have enough hbs to cover it, even though it will be deposited right back to you.
If you do breed to someone else's stallion, check the Owner's Notes section of his page for any rules the owner may have set and be sure to follow them. The most common rules are to use all available quality testing on the foal, and to breed even generations. A foundation horse is one made using the Create A Horse button and has "Foundation Horse" in all the slots of its pedigree. The offspring of 2 foundations is a second gen, etc. Most players will not buy a horse with an uneven pedigree.
