  • Welcome to Hunt and Jump.

One of the most important things to know about this game is that it is not a competition between players. It is an exercise in planning and patience to reach a goal you have set. You may want to play around for a while to learn how the game works before trying to set goals. Once you've been here long enough to see all the possibilities in color and pattern, as well as picking up some clues as to how to breed your horses so that each generation will be better than the one that went before. That's something that a lot of us work toward.

A second thing about the game is that breeding horses to sell is not the best way to finance your stable. Players make most of their game cash by training their horse each week and showing their horses regularly. The points they are awarded for where they place in each show contribute to a daily showing bonus that adds to your income. Neutered horses, while they aren't part of your breeding herd, will gain some advantages in training and become an asset to your stable.
De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
