Gray from Champagne HH?
-
So I used a homozygous champagne herd helper and got a gray horse. It has the ChCh genes, so will she give me champagne babies if I breed her to a champagne?

She'll always give champagne but she also always give grey, since she's homozygous grey as well.

Ok, thanks

I got one too.

Fairly sure all kids will be grey as grey is dominant (please correct me if I'm wrong), but should still have champagne grandbabiesBreeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses. -
You could GMT the grey off or make it het for champagne babies. But yes, she could still have champagne grandbabies.#28036

Grey is dominant in the way that if a horse has it, it will express. A heterozygous grey(Gg) will have a 50% chance of each foal being grey as well. A homozygous grey(GG) will have 100% grey foals. :)
