Help Me Name My New Gray Mares

    So while we all wait around for the 1 millionth horse to be created, I'd appreciate some help on naming the new members of my gray herd. I've taken to keeping to a theme with my herds. My liver/dark chestnut herd is alcoholic beverages, my wild bay herd is extreme/wild names, but I haven't got a theme for my gray herd. There is one stallion and 7 mares to be named.

    I always find it amusing how many different names for white paint companies use. Just looking at one company's list of white paint shades, there's: Snowy Mountain, White on White, Berkshire White, White Polar Quarter, Royal Beige...

    Lots of options that could work!

    Well that's just charming. I must ask though @cheers, how do you come up with these names? I was tempted to buy up all the ones that referenced alcohol, (because those that know me know that my favorite thing).

    When I very first started all my different horses had alcohol related names. Bays were red wine, chestnuts were rum, etc etc...ran out of ideas real fast!

    Since then?

    Book titles, characters, chapter titles
    Song and album names, bands
    Cook book ingredients and recipe titles, lists of fruits and vegetables
    To Do list items
    Things I can see in the room around me
    Anatomical terms as I study, especially bones and muscles.
    Phrases I hear in songs or on tv as I'm naming a group of horses--currently have a basketball themed group of mares from watching the NBA finals
    A Tolkien elvish language online dictionary
    An Aboriginal dialect online dictionary
    A list of Adjectives in alphabetical order Confluence pointed me to
    And a variety of other randomness.....

    I try to give my show ponies and foundations unique names, and then name my lined breeding stock something that combines their parents' names. Doesn't always work, but that's the theory!

    I'm thinking of looking for a Native American dialect dictionary online for one of my new lines....rename one of my stallions to Wind Talker.

    I think my family took alot from the cheyenne tribe dialects. I have quite a few cousins names Cindel and Ecco if you want to use those. (I have 400+ cousins btw)

    My grandmother had 16 children. All those children got married and had like 4-5 children each which summed up to 80 grandchildren (I was number 80). Then those children grew up and had children. My grand mother died when I was 14. Hr obituary listed 80 grandchildren, 240+ great grand children and 2 great great grand children. I'm 28 now and recently learned my family had ballooned again to over 400. The number is not exact. I had to leave my state to avoid dating a relative.
