Anybody else regretting a recent vow of absolute restraint they made?
  • I did the math and found that if I just keep my hands out of my hbs account for the next couple months save for the seasonal pasture breeding, I would amass enough IVs to get a basic account. I'm at 8 IVs and my barns are pretty much full so it shouldn't be too hard, right?

The very next day, I see tons of awesome HHs being rolled and half price rerolls because of the HJ 11th anniversary.

Ammit is an vicious enemy to restraint.

  • Haha yes! Everyone is savage right now. :)) reminds me of black Friday shopping
  • rofl I know what you mean. Just when I tell myself I'm done and to stop buying and creating horses something cool and new comes out.

  • Or one of your horses come of age and they are just so pretty and perfect that you to absolutely need breed them ASAP! That's been my weakness far too much in the past.

  • I totally hear you all lol
  • Create the rank specials and sell them. Should get you enough money to buy that upgrade. :)
    Thanked by 1Timber
  • You make a valid point Ammit. I did not think about that because I was too busy thinking of how badly I would hoard those suckers, but reflecting on it all, there's only one or two I really like. Thank you for the idea.
Have horses to sell but don't want them destroyed in auction? Click here!
  • On that note any RS drafts I will buy in a heart beat. I've already bought two today. Just saying, I would be glad to help finance anyone's upgrade :)
  • I will buy any brindle horse! Regardless of height/weight
Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.
  • I'm really liking this. I bought a Bring Back the Sun boy for my black herd sir, a First Snow boy for my App herd sir, and a Pumpkin Spice boy for my Dun herd sir. A couple more and I might end up with all RS for my herd sir's and I haven't even got a RS HH today.
  • I wonder how many computer mice will have to be replaced from the rampant and frantic clicking caused by this whole affair.

  • rofl If I had to guess, many. It's all in good fun though. That's the nice thing about the people on here.
  • Oh yeah. I've only seen a couple of people get actually upset and hateful but they were promptly dealt with.

  • I'm loving all of these RS's. Wish I had more $ in store right now. Buying one RS was all it took to dessimate my $

  • that's all it's going to take to decimate mine. I have enough for one create.

  • My money is going quickly as well but it's so hard to say no. I'm going to have to spend myself flat broke before I stop.
  • That was my problem when i first started. I could not say no and just created willy nilly. Trying to get more serious and discerning about my horses now.

  • I'm now looking for RS that will fit herds I already have. There is no use in buying a RS that I don't have a herd for. So far I've been good.
  • I think the only one I'd really care about keeping is yule log ashes since I've been wanting to start a w line for a while now.

  • I would really like to get a silver bay RS. That's one of my favorite herds besides my liver herd. Looking through the RS I think my best bet would be to find a Sparkling Cider boy I think.
  • Storm warning might be a good one too. I've used bays and duns interchangeably with good color results. Though most of my first mares were a pile of PLBBBT so not good quality results.

  • Or you could do Silver Pocket Watch and add a bay gene or just breed him to bay mares if you don't like the White on the Sparkling Cider horses. Although Sparkling Cider is exceptional and pocket watch is not.

    image Silver Pocket Watch:
All things come and go but this silver pocket watch, it has endured. It comments on the slow trickle of time with a simple mantra. Tick, Tick, Tick. All horses will be true breeding Silver Black Splash. They are homozygous for black, silver and splash but may also have other rare genes.
  • Yeah, I try to keep my mares PF foundations. I purposely will create horses and auction them and then buy back the ones who end up in Foundation rescue lol I know I'm weird.
  • Nah that's actually a good idea. Kinda wish one of the tests would test for such.

  • If I could find them young enough to GMT them I would probably go with a couple silver pocket watch boys. I have a silver bay, silver black, silver grullo and was thinking about starting a silver buckskin too
  • I went with silver bays originally because I was trying to breed a horse as close to Epona from Legend of Zelda as I could. Long since given up on that project. Silver bucksins are super pretty.

  • Yeah, I have a silver buckskin boy that I fell in love with. That color combo is just beautiful.
  • I have a buckskin dun on HJ1 that is the star of my herd.. even if he isn't the star of the show ring. The dun markins are just perfect on him, right down to the super visible dorsal stripe.

  • Oh and I think Ammit said she'd be releasing RS's for a couple of months too, so.....you should probably make those xD

  • Yeah. I'm going to be sitting on here lurking the HH forum everyday for a bit. Like now. Slowly losing my mind. Mwahaha.

  • I've been lurking all day lol. Of course every time I get up is when one of those RS HH pop up lol
  • Oh yeah. I got up to see why my daughter was screaming (she lost her chicken nugget) and came back thinking "I'm am going to flip if one came up while I was gone"

  • I have to admit that I went straight to the Upgrades and extras to purchase IVs so I wouldn't be tempted by all this chaotic excitement. Lol!
  • I saw it. I'm very tempted but I'm not sure where I would put him.
  • It's a FEEDING FRENZY! :-O

  • Did someone say they're looking for a Sparkling Cider or Yule Log Ashes RS stallion?? I have one of each...willing to sell or trade for Diamond Age or Candy Appleloosa :)
    Champion Appaloosas
  • if fj1482 doesn't see it, I'd say message them because I know they mentioned wanting one possibly. I'll have to pass on the Yule Log ashes due to room constraints. Thanks anyway though.

I have a catch a blue moon RS up for forum auction if you want to check that out.

  • I might be interested in your Sparkling cider. I'm looking for a draft herd stallion for my Silver bay
  • Thanks dear..'ll message them...oo and I"ll go check out your auction..ty!

  • @Timber dying at the chicken nugget comment!
  • And now I have a Sparkling Cider for my silver bay herd :) thank you @WindspunFarms
  • @BreezyCreek yeah to a 2 year old it's the tragedy of the century, a perfectly good chicken nugget dropped on the floor, never to be eaten.

  • Hey, a dropped chicken nugget would be a pretty serious event in my life, too!!

  • I know how you feel Timber. I have a 2yr old here to. All the kids know that if something hits the floor around here the vacuum, AKA our 12yr old chow/golden mix, will have it gone before they can even think about picking it up lol
  • I'd more upset if there was sauce on it. 5 second rule with out sauce. With sauce, it's done. There's no saving that.

  • Yeah we don't even have a dog. We have grandpa that works around animals on a farm all day and refuses to take his shoes off before walking into the house so we don't trust anywhere his boots have fallen.

  • rofl I live on a farm. We raise heritage poultry and water fowl. I'm glad my house has no carpet. Between all the animals outside, all the animals inside and 4 kids no carpet is a blessing and a shop vac is my best friend.
  • We choose no carpet because of cleaning ease. Still can't believe my daughter learned to crawl and crawled faster than we could walk on that floor. I get down on my knees to look under the couch for something, I feel like crying.

  • I feel the same way Timber. I'm glad I have older kids who can now look under the couch for me.
  • Ah a luxury I can look forward in the future. "Hey, I think there's something under the couch, look for me?"
"But mooom, do I have to?"
"If I had a nickel for every time I got down there and rescued your toys from under that couch, you'd already be put through college. Now get your butt down there!"
