The extra barn is very helpful for storing show horses, which leads into how to earn money. Unlike the majority of online horse games, HJ2 is about the individual barn and noncompetitive. Meaning you don't make a lot of money by selling horses - though you can make some quick hbs.

I'm sure Confluence Farms will come along and explain in a much simpler fashion, but essentially every horse that is shown has the potential to earn points. The more points a horse has the larger your show bonus becomes. Your show bonus is like a daily hbs allowance. Having a large show horse herd allows you to self sustain without selling horses or using real life money to purchase more hbs.

I've read that 3 show horses per 1 breeding horses is a decent ratio. Show horses can be altered or unaltered. If I remember right altered, gelded or spayed, horses get a perk in their training ability - could be showing ability? I know they get a bonus for being altered, I just can't remember what exactly.

I thought it was a horse gets more of a points boost when trained....
