2g B Het Snowflake Appy colt for sale - added another one
-
I bred another very nice het snowflake colt this year. I won't get much use out of him since he is related to a lot of my het snowflake fillies so I'm selling him. He is consistent, even 2G, B papered, het snowflake, hom appaloosa, and hom Sooty.
I have intentionally priced him higher in order to discourage new players from spending all their hbs on shiny genes that they don't need when first starting out. If you already own an intact het/hom snowflake horse or if you are a responsible breeder who is interested in starting a snowflake line, post here and let me know and I will drop the price significantly for you (thinking around 15k but let me know if this is not fair market price). Thank you!
WF het snowflake sell
Edit: I also have another het snowflake colt for sale. This one is even 2G, B papered, het snowflake, het appy, het dun, and hom Sooty. This one could possibly have DP; his dam looks like she might be het DP. However, he is inconsistent. I have also raised the price on this one to discourage new players from spending all their money on pretty colors, but if you like him and don't mind inconsistency or you like him enough to GMT consistency onto him, let me know and you can have him for a much lower price(under 10k for responsible breeders).

If you are trying to start a snowflake line, just remember that snowflake is a recessive gene and will only be visible if a horse is homozygous snowflake. Snowflake doesn't show up on a horse's genetic test and you can't GMT snowflake back onto lined horses if they missed getting it from their parent(s). The colt you bought is only heterozygous for snowflake(which is why he doesn't show the snowflake pattern), so if you want to actually produce some quality snowflake foals with him you will need to get some nice 2G fillies/mares that are either het or hom for snowflake and breed them to him. He will never give you a snowflake foal if you breed him to a mare that doesn't carry snowflake. Good luck with him and I hope that he'll give you some nice quality foals someday!

He is a handsome guy! I hope you enjoy him, 4StarShowHorses : )

I have a second het snowflake colt that I am also selling since I just bred another snowflake colt that I like better(my new colt is hom appy and has tobiano too). The link to the other colt for sale is in my first post.

Thank you too! If anyone else wants him I'll sell him for the same price, otherwise am probably going to breed the best daughters from each stallion to the other as an outcross.

@4StarShowHorses, just so you know, those 2 colts both have the same sire so they are related. I'm not sure if that will make a difference in your plans. Some people don't mind inbreeding and others avoid it at all costs, it's just personal preference. I don't think inbreeding in this game will cause any bad side effects but I'm not sure about that.
