Skylights SplashOfGold a2 is about as good as Skylights Sam I Am a2
Does this mean that Sam is slightly better or is Gold the better one? -
They are about the same! Neither one is significantly better than the other.

I am trying to cut down on studs a bit but yet keep a variety. I like them all. One of the studs that I'm using now is, so far, superior to all of the others that I've tested. So I thought I'd test what I would have guessed to be one of the worst of the bunch against another. That didnt help me much when they are equal lol.
I have 11 Gen 2 stallions. So far Spirit is my superior sire. Even superior to his half bro Lover Boy. That really surprised me cuz Spirits dam wasnt all that great and Lover Boys dam was an RS.
Spirit and Mateo are keepers for sure. I've decided on two to sell. Which others would you sell?

If they are all equal to each other in Comp Testing I would
A) pick your favorite of the appys, since Mateo doesn't really express his appy through the W2 and that gives you another patterned colt to play with
B) snip the colts with PTs of 10 or higher that you haven't picked to keep as breeders and throw them in your show herd
C) offer the remaining non-keeper colts for sale. If they don't sell in a reasonable time, I would snip them and put them in the auction.
D) make notes on Mateo and the appy colt's pages that they are inferior to Spirit and plan to replace them with Superior colts as soon as you get them. -
(By the way, that's a lot of flashy boys! Good job--they're gorgeous!)
