Testing and papering?
  • Hi. I tryed to understand this but i cant seem to see the link in my left "menu"? I am Premium member

    1. If you look in the left menu bar under testing and papering, you will probably see Stallion Papering and Mare Papering grayed out near the bottom of the list of testing features. Stallion Papering becomes available when you purchase a Basic Upgrade; Mare Papering becomes available when you purchase a Premium Upgrade. If you have the necessary upgrades, all horses can be papered. Stallions can be papered as soon as they are created or born. Mares have to have 3 live foals on the ground before they can be papered.

I wish to get papers on my best studs so im greatful for all the help :)

  • The placement of the tests has changed since that notice was made.

If you go to the bottom of a barn page, you will find all the possible tests. At the top of the list of horses, on the right, you will see the word Move and two small white boxes, with a green check mark. Click on the box with the check mark. This selects all the horses in the barn. Then go down to the bottom of the page and click on the tests you want to make for the horses. If all you need to do is paper them, look for Breeding Inspection. This will paper all the horses in the barn. You will be charged 1000 hbs for intact horses, and 0 hbs for neutered horses.

If you want to paper horses individually, go to their Control Panel. Once again you will find the testing buttons near the lower left. If the horse has had a test, the button for it will not be there. If your horse hasn't been papered, you will see a button for Breeding Inspection.

Both stallions and mares can now be papered at birth if you have the necessary upgrade. I see that you do have it.

  • Compare Your Stallions

    Result
You have been charged $4000 for the testing.

Dr Junior says: "Golly, these here boys are awfully close. I'm stumped."

Al Sah Bey SZ is about as good as Gazaal Bint Al Bey SZ

    :-O

  • First off, don't look at the PT of a horse if you're trying to judge how good of a breeder he or she is - it's TOTALLY irrelevant.

C is the normal paper level for foundation stallions, and B is the normal paper level for 2nd gen stallions, so they're all good there.

The comparison test result tells us that the son is only a little bit better than his sire - about as good as means could be a little worse, as good as, or a little better. Since the son papered higher than the sire that means he's a little better.

Many people won't keep studs that don't comparison test superior to their sire but it's totally up to you where you want to set your standards. You could also keep his B papered son and use him until you get a superior to sire son from the foundation stud if you want.
