The Server 1 game is the original Hunt and Jump. It has more players, more horses, because it's been around so long. It is now in Era 5, while H&J 2 has just gone into Era 2.

In H&J 1, a game year lasts 2 months. In H&J 2, the game year is 1 month long.

In H&J 1, Herd Helpers may be for horses with exceptional breeding and showing ability, or both. Players can buy boost tokens for real life cash to give favored horses a boost to their breeding ability. H&J 2 doesn't have those features.

New features are often tried out here in H&J 2 because it is a smaller game and glitches will affect fewer people. Once things are running smoothly, the feature is transferred to H&J 1.

In H&J 1, horses in the Foundation Rescue and Hajinc Rescue are trained weekly . Here in H&J 2 this is not the case. I'm not sure whether that's a bug or an intentional difference.

At first the higher levels of Herd Helpers were extremely scarce here, but Ammit took pity on us after we went several game years without seeing anything except Rank 1 Herd Helpers and adjusted the ration to pretty much match what is seen in H&J 1. Even now, however, a Rank Special HH that gives exceptional producer or exceptionally perfect horses in H&J1 will only produce perfect foundations in this game.

Those are the differences that come to my mind at the moment. Someone else may come along and give some others.

You can play on both, most of us here do. The thing to remember is that they are two separate games, and on two different servers, so there is no ability to switch horses or money between the games. They are similar in their play, as HJ2 was created to be a faster version of HJ1 (hence the one month in HJ2 equals one year of the horses life, compared to the two months equal one year in HJ1), but without some of the perks that HJ1 has, to make it different.
