I'm a little confused on how some of my horses are performing. I have a few horses with bad pt scores that win many competitions while some horses with good pt haven't won anything. Am I doing something wrong?

I wouldn't worry about the results in 1L at all. Because there's only two horses, it's essentially a coin flip and you shouldn't use its results to cull your show herd. Foals can only be in 1L so I tend to wait until they're 3, sometimes 4 before I have a good look at their results and points. This gives them several months of training behind them to help.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

That makes more sense now. Thanks so much. :D

Here are some examples to show what I mean.
Here's a 2 year old girl that I bred last season. You can see that she didn't win a single comp in 1L, but since she's moved up the levels she's only been placing 1st and 2nd. Again, too early for her to tell a trend since she's so young, but shows the improvement once they get out of 1L.

And this one scored the exact same score as a foal in 1L every. single. time. Sometimes she won, sometimes she lost. It really is a flip of a coin and horses don't show much improvement until trained.
