How much are GMT in hb?
-
How much is a GMT worth in hb..someone just offered me a horse for a few straws and 2 GMT
-
I'm pretty sure you can't pay a player in GMTs. There's no way to transfer GMTs between players.
If you were to buy a GMT with HBs:
1 GMT costs 20 IVs. 1 IV costs 12,500 HBs.
So one GMT ends up costing 250,000 HBs.
So 500,000 HBs is a ridiculous amount to pay for a horse in my opinion. I've never seen a horse sell for that much.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

I agree with Salvistar.
Unless they have two candy ponies that haven't been turned in. Those usually sell for around 200-250k each. -
I just wanna know who thinks it is a good idea to try and make a currency in GMTs....hbs work perfectly fine!Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Yea I don't know Obsidian maybe they can't buy GMT or something
-
They should be able to. First you just need to buy the IVs for it, then go to IV Shopping to get the GMT. It isn't that hard and if they do have a problem getting IVs then they should obviously ask on the forum.
I am a little bit concerned that people are going around asking people this though. At least you were smart enough to be sceptical, but I wonder how many new players out there don't know.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

I think she is some what new to the game but I can't say her name..so is there no way to gift her 2 GMT that I bought with real money?
-
Nope. &Why cant you say her name?
Im also sure the horse probably isnt worth 500k+ so I definitely wouldnt be buying it. -
Yes it's 2 satin horses but still not worth it
-
I don't want the player to get mad at me
-
@StarfireAcres, you can gift GMT tokens to other players with real money if you put their stable id in the box before purchasing.
Though, as I said before, it is not a good deal to purchase a horse for 2 GMT tokens. I agree that no horse is work 500k, even if they have satin. Unless its a homozygous satin foundation horse that's four years old though even that is a maybe. I would rather purchase and GMT a horse to my own liking before I buy one from another member for so much. -
Yea your right it is expensive but if I bought GMT with real money it's only 10$ for 2 of them..and 10$ you can only get 100k hb
-
I can see that logic if you are looking at it in terms of real life money. I would evaluate the horse carefully though because I don't see many horses worth 100,000 HBs either.
Just because you can afford to pay 100,000 HBs for something doesn't mean that you should. Sometimes people might be ripping you off if they know you have a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

Also, one thing I would be careful of. You may not be able to guarantee that the player would sell you the horse after you spent your $10 buying GMTs on their behalf. Most players on here are very trustworthy and would do the right thing, but I would be pissed to lose out on the $10 if things didn't work out.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

Yes that's very true I have not bought them yet and I don't think I will and I get ripped off a lot I really want to prevent that from happening again so thanks for the advice :)
-
By offering the massive prices you are offering, it makes the value of the horses artificial. What's happening is that people are seeing that you're willing to pay an exorbitant amount for something and taking advantage of it, which isn't fair to you OR the other players, especially newer players. It can make newer players think the horses really are worth that much, but they aren't.
-
Yea I understand it's a bummer..I came on to the game thinking they were worth way more because I was used to playing howrse and the prices are so crazy on there I've bought a horse for 300$ ! It's crazy I know
-
I played howrse years ago(like...ten years ago), spent a bit of money on there. It's nothing like howrse. I like this game much better. I like that money doesn't really get you ahead, because I find it very unfair when people can essentially buy their way to the top.
-
If you offered to buy someone two GMTs on the forum in exchange for game cash you could get 500k in hbs. Obviously can still get ripped off that way but plenty of people have done just that.

Yes it's really unfair..and yes this game is WAY better sorry for the caps but it really is there is just so much to this game that I love and I learn something new everyday :) I never play howrse anymore but I do have a lot of friends on there it's the only reason I go back..
