Taking eggs from mares
-
Hello, there's a few mares I would like eggs from and was considering getting a premium account for that purpose. I just wanted to make an informed decision first though. I think I heard someone say it's 125k to flush a mare - is this correct? How many eggs do you normally get? How much is it to take a single egg? Any other things I might want to know? Thank you!Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

It's 3000 to pull a single egg, you can pull an egg every 5 days. Or you can do a mass egg flush for 125k, and get anywhere from 8-15 eggs.
-
@HunterUnderSaddleGirl, a mass egg flush will result in as few as 8 eggs and as many as 15. Once a mare been mass flushed, she is considered bred for the season and cannot be liver covered, pasture bred, or single egg flushed.
Otherwise, you can flush a single egg from an unbred mare every 5 (or 7?) days throughout the entire breeding season, or until she is bred. The bonus of single egg flushing is that it is cheaper, 3k per egg, and you can breed her at any point during the month.
EDIT: looks like kassierae got to it before me. :P -
Ok, thank you. 125 was too much for me, but I think I can do the 3k individually.Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

When counting the five days between egg pulls, it goes like this: pull an egg on day 1, pull the next on day 6.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Can you pull an egg every 5 days until the last day of breeding season do an egg flush?

I believe so, but I'm not completely sure.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
