Wow! Great PT.
-
One of my foundation studs got 10.40 pt. His AFPT is 10. Could be why only a tiny amount of foals were altered last month. With the new testing I bet the altering ratio will be higher cuz I think he's probably way higher quality than most of my foundation mares. I dont have enough money to test them all.

Put him with your 2 g mares or with mares that are red papered. They would be equal. I am having to do the same.
-
Wouldnt breeding him to 2G mares lead to foals that no one wants due to uneven pedigree?
-
A lot of people don't breed unevenly due to the high chance of getting a spayed or gelded foal. If you want to keep even, find red foundation mares. Perfect foundations are high yellow low red I thinkProducer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Okay thanks. I bought some G2 mares from Cheers that paper red but even their PT scores are lower. So far the highest PT mare I have is 10.2 and she's not papered. I'm sure she's a red.
I think we'll all be making some drastic changes in our herds. :) -
You can't judge a horses breed ability on its Pt, only it's afptProducer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Remember it not even generations we need to worry about its even ability ( Ammit keeps saying it and we keep ignoring her) . If you breed him to red papered mares and try to pick mares who AFPT is around the same area as his. His PT has nothing to do with his breeding ability that affects his showing, Its his AFPT that you want to look at . Since he is foundation you cant compare his AFPT to his sire , When his Colts are old enough you want their AFPT to be better than his. Ammit did say somewhere by about how much you what the AFPT to improve but I cant remember what she said.
Breed him to Red papered 1g mare if you want to keep gens even as well but the important thing is that they are they same ability which is so much easier to gauge now we can paper mares at birth.
You haven't papered him but he is a RS and I think his RS normally paper as B which is equal to Red . This testing system that Ammit has set up is awesome and extremely helpful in working out breedings use it to the highest level you can depending on upgrade level. -
I think I remember. An improvement of .4 in AFPT is strict but doable she said. If you want to be more lenient maybe .2 or .3?Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

If the Rank Special creates Exceptional Producers or Exceptionally Perfect horses, the stallions will paper B. If the RS creates Perfect Foundations, they will paper C. Until last fall, there were no exceptional horses in this game, as a general rule. Then Ammit decided that the game had grown enough that we should have them too, so newer Rank Special horses may be Exceptional, but not all of them are. There are still Rank Specials that produce Perfect Foundations.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

I know that PT scores have nothing to do with breeding but doesn't that have something to do with ability? So if we are breeding the same ability together shouldn't the PT be taken into account? Other wise why are we testing for PT? You can find out how well a horse shows pretty quickly with out paying for testing. Isn't it possible for a horse with a low PT to pass that on?
I have a free account so I cant paper my horses. I can only guess. Makes it a bit trickier. Trying to find other numbers and such to go by. I plan to up grade but will be a while. Thanks for all your help. :)
