Embryo Questions?
-
I haven't played around with eggs/ embryos yet.
Can you implant an embryo into a pasture mare to collect the pasture bonus?
Also, does it matter what kind of mare you implant with the embryo (If she has a terrible Pt, yellow papered or carries lots of white), will it effect the embryo in anyway?
Can your foal die because of the mare you implanted?♡ ID #23495 ♡

No, because to implant her you would have to bring her up to the barns and she would immediately lose her pasture bonus.
And, no, it doesn't matter what kind or color of mare you use for transplant, as long as she has a uterus! -

When you create an embryo, all of its genes are already determined by the straw and the egg you used to create it. The mare it is implanted in is only the incubator, so to speak.
In real life, if such a mare was not properly cared for or got seriously ill, or became malnourished, then the quality of the foal she was carrying could be affected, but its basic gene-set would not be changed.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
