Boost Tokens?
-
What exactly do boost tokens do..?
Does it make them have slightly more foals that pass their testing?
Does it make the foals have a slightly higher PT?
Does it change the stallions PT, SAT, or papering? (since it says if you give them a boost token it erases their paper testing and SAT)
Does it mean they have a chance of not passing tests OR getting a different result if you give them a boost?
It says you can give a 5% boost, does that mean that if a horse was at like 85% that a 5% boost makes him 90%, or a 5% boost of his 85% so he would then be 89.25%?
Thanks!ID# 2353 -
I thought that it just boosts it's breed-ability.....haven't upgraded yet so I suggest waiting for someone who has boosted their horses.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

The boost tokens raise breeding ability scores, so using one may lift the average PT scores of the offspring. It wouldn't do anything to the PT score. Depending on the base breeding ability score, it could lift the paper level, but if the horse was low in the original range, it might not.
The SAT might change, because it would be comparing the new breeding ability with the stable showing aptitude, but since it's breeding ability that's being boosted, I wouldn't expect that to happen often.
As for the change in the exact numbers in the background, only Ammit knows for sure. :D

If a horse is given a boost token it increases the raw breeding score of that horse.
Does it make them have slightly more foals that pass their testing?
>Aboslutly not. The rule of breeding even ability still applies and an even cross as the same chance of intact foals regardless of high or low the ability.
Does it make the foals have a slightly higher PT?
>Aboslutly yes. The higher the breeding ability of a horse the higher the PT of its foals.
Does it change the stallions PT, SAT, or papering? (since it says if you give them a boost token it erases their paper testing and SAT)
>It makes them a better breeder so they might pass SAT when they did not before or get a higher paper.
Does it mean they have a chance of not passing tests OR getting a different result if you give them a boost?
>Yes to both.
It says you can give a 5% boost, does that mean that if a horse was at like 85% that a 5% boost makes him 90%, or a 5% boost of his 85% so he would then be 89.25%?
>It's a pure/straight 5%.
