AFPT for studs...
-
I have been looking at my studs and I have noticed that some have an AFPT below their PT score. I am wondering if this is bad or is it alright?
-
Most players will cull a stud if his AFPT is less than his own PT. But there is no right or wrong way to play.
-
What is more important, to me, is does he sire sons that paper higher than he does.
AFPT is important to me when I'm papering mares, I cull those whose AFPT is less than their dam's or not sufficiently higher, and frequently neuter any of their intact offspring as well.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
