egg selling/auctioning questions?
-
(sorry for all the questions, I have never sold eggs before)
How exactly do you sell them? Do you just post the horse and how many eggs you are up for selling, and then say when your ending bidding?
What are people looking for? Do people buy eggs only for paper/PT levels? Or do they buy for color, too?
What are "average" prices?ID# 2353 -
ADD:
This is the mare I was thinking about, but I don't know if anyone would bid at all?

Took a look at her and she would be worth buying eggs from.
Most people do exactly what you said. I do something like this
If your doing a flat sale then say how many you are selling and how many have been spoken for until youre sold out. If you are auctioning then make a line for each egg and put the starting bid on each line
Like this:
Example 1: ID- 2k
Example 2: ID- 2k
Example 3: ID- 2k
Players placing bids will put there ID and the new bid on it
Like this:
Example 1: ID 4953 -3500
Example 2: ID 7678- 4000
Example 3: ID - 2k
And then copy past with new ID and price yada yadda :D
Probably more info than you needed but yea----

Since it costs you 3000 hbs to collect an egg, your starting price should probably be at least that. If you have flushed your mare and received a number of eggs all at once, the starting price should be the cost of the egg flush, 125,000 hbs, divided by the number of eggs you got. If the mare has special genes, as this one does, you should set the starting bid even higher.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

I did the mass egg flush, but I think that is a pretty high starting bid? (125000/8=15,625)
I think that I will just start it out low since it's my first timeID# 2353 -

@jahdaz, don't forget that the mare is *gold papered, is heterozygous for satin, het for pearl, and het for sabino 2. I can't speak for everyone else but I know that I find these genes fun to add to my herd, so they add value to the egg.

Mystic, I think she started a new thread for the actual auction. She was just asking how to on this one.
