I started out with riding horses and had planned to breed quality, dun only riding horses. But, then I got sidetracked with a goal involving Drafts that I'm more interested in now. Should I sell all of my riding horses? I'd keep the higher pointed ones, snip them, and make them show ponies. Am I going backward selling off my riding horses?

You wouldn't be the first player to switch goals, so don't feel like it's going backward to do this. As we play and learn more about the game, or as Ammit introduces new genes or improves the imagery, switching paths is natural. Do keep the higher pointed light horses for you show string, and then sell the others that you don't want to keep.
Have fun with the drafts.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
