Buying IVS
-
Would buying IVS right when I get money be worth it so I don't use it all before I get enough? If I do buy them as I get money I think it would be easier so I would get them and keep them and I wouldn't have the temptation to buy horses(which I should get good ones anyway) but I'm not really sure.EasternShowBarn

I've got a "no less than 5k" rule. If by buying IV's I end up with less than 5k, then I'm going to wait. Preferably I'll have much more left over. This also applies to horses. I made this rule when I first started and didn't have enough for a RS that I wanted so I sold another that I didn't quite want...Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -
I know some people do it one way and some people do it the other. I personally wait until the end of breeding season when I auction all of my culls and then use that money to buy the biggest barn I can. But I would probably suggest for now buying IVs a little bit at a time and then save a little money for spending money. Some of us give into temptation too easily lol so if the money is there the majority of the time youre going to use it! But really its up to you.

@moonacrestables my temptation is really bad considering I was praying for pennies.. now I've got a few good horses and a new barn and about $1300 so I don't get tempted to buy a horse :-)) but it's still enough to do something with like testing and breedingEasternShowBarn

When I first started I had a spread sheet and would plan out all my breedings so I knew how much I needed to set aside to breed then I would show all my horses for the week and then buy as many IV's as I could while leaving the breeding fees (unless I had already bred everything that month)

Well bandit my plan is to sell my rare or higher rank horses for a higher amount and after I sell them I make a bunch of foundation mates and breed them and auction the mares and the foals keeping a few with rare genes. I just Bred one of my ice gene stallions and I got 3 ice gene foalsEasternShowBarn
