As you know, many herd helpers have a list of sub herd helpers. When you look at a Black appaloosa HH for example there will be a list of associated herd helpers it calls like Het Black, No Bay, No Dun, No Gray, Add Appaloosa etc. If your herd helper's list of sub herd helpers shows anything to do with the bay gene you can't create the new colors with it.


Here is so examples


If no bay is mentioned you can create the new genes. If bay is mentioned you can not.
