Entering Shows
-
If there's no one currently in any of the classes should you enter anyways? What happens if no one else joins you? Would it be better to just show two of your horses against each other so at least one of them gets points?

It's okay to fill a show with your own horses. Ammit has done the math and the comparisons and assures us that if a horse can't beat its own stablemates, it won't beat horses from other stables. However, with only two horses in a show, winning is chiefly influenced by luck, so your horse with the lower show score will come in last. But, in another 2 horse show, it just might be lucky enough to be the horse with the higher score, unless its score is very, very low for the Level/Grade.
It just dawned on me recently, that if you own all the horses in a given show, you get all the available points and all the cash prizes, too, so it's really not a bad idea.
Yes, enter even if there are no other horses in the show yet. Every 15 minutes, the auto-show script that is a benefit for all of us with Premium Upgrades goes through the barns in those stables and picks up horses that are available to show in each of the classes. Then, on the hour, all the classes that have been filled will run. If a class isn't filled, then the horses entered for it will remain in the class until it does get filled. This may happen within the next hour or so for smaller classes. For higher level classes that have a number of places yet to be filled, the class may not run until the next day. For very high level classes where there is a smaller pool of potential horses to be entered, it may take even longer, but usually, the class will eventually be run.De gustibus non disputandum.
