I probably wouldn't pay more than create price, 2500 hbs. She's a third generation mare by a B papered stallion (okay) out of a Yellow papered 2nd gen mare, and her PT score is no better than a good foundation's. If she were 2nd generation I might be interested, but, honestly, I'd only buy her to neuter her and add her to my show string. Even though it looks like she's on course to paper Red, her Average Foal PT looks like that of a low Red mare. I want any 3rd gen's that paper Red to have an AFPT more like 10.5 at least.

Stallion papers run
Showable Only
C -- Normal foundation stallions
B -- goal for 2nd gen colts from a C papered sire. Normal papering level for Exceptional Producer foundations.
A -- Goal for 2nd gen colts from an Exceptional Producer sire. Fairly easily achievable in an ordinary create line for 3rd gen.
*Star -- it may take several generations of Superior to Sire A papered colts to reach this highest level. With very strict mare culling, it can be reached by 4th or 5th generation.

Mare papers run
Failed -- Should immediately be neutered along with all offspring and put in the show herd.
Yellow -- Many foundation mares paper yellow. I always neuter any Yellow papered mares in higher generations.
Red -- Depending on the stallions a foundation mare is bred to, many of them will paper Red. Exceptional Producer mares should always paper Red, unless they've been bred to poor stallions.
Blue -- Approximately equivalent to an A papered stallion
*Gold -- Highest level, equivalent to *Star in stallions. How soon you reach this depends on how strictly you cull your mares.

Unless you are breeding high generation stallions to low generation mares to get show horses, you should try to match the paper levels of mares and stallions. Since we can't paper mares until they have 3 living foals, it's harder to get them culled. However, if you have a 3rd generation mare with 2 foals and her Average Foal PT isn't any better than her dam's or it's worse, she probably will not paper well.
