I have no idea what i am doing!
  • how do I breed? How can I earn money? I'm lost.
  • This is a complex game, but don't panic. We have all felt this way when starting out. Me, I saw an ad for HaJ1 on Facebook in 2010, felt a bit intimidated by the description of it, and told my daughter who loves genetics about it. Then I watched her play for 8 MONTHS before deciding I was ready to create my own account. I've been happily addicted ever since. Here are a few tips:

At the bottom of the menu on the left side of the page, at the bottom, you will find a link to information about how to go about breeding your horses--Breeding Info. There is another one, the FAQ that will give you an overview of how to play the game. Note, as a new player, you won't be able to breed until tomorrow, but that's not long to wait.

After looking these over, ask any specific questions you may have. We will be glad to answer them.

There is NO one right way to play the game. You can just get a few horses and play around with them while you get used to things, then when you've decided exactly what you want, auction those horses if they don't fit your new goals, and start fresh.

This is not a competition, we all are playing to meet our own goals, so you will find lots of help as you get started.

  • ahhhh okay.

Thank you very much for your help. I went a bit crazy and bought a gazillion horses haha.
This seems like fun though! Time to create my dream horse line I think ;)

    Thanks again

  • I agree that it is fun to fill up your barns quickly, but slowing down to leave room for breeding foals and adopting show horses with high points to help your income does pay off.

Speaking of the latter, I would be very happy to sell you this 14 year old gelding showing near the top of level 7 World. He should continue doing well at that level, and has three game years (months) before he's in danger of passing out of the game from old age. You can show him regularly and he will bring in between 80 and 100 hbs with each class, most likely. However, his true value is in his lifetime points. He has 1598 of them this morning and will increase that with each show. This will give a nice boost to your daily showing bonus for the rest of his life.

  • I have links to several past conversations, here on the forum, that might help out in different situations. Here is a link about Showing Bonus Points: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/forum/discussion/14325/general-information-showing-bonus#Item_1
