Damages
-
My horses have picked up damages charges in the last couple of days. A search of the forms turned up posts from July of last year where Ammit stated that damages mean something (maybe that I am asking too many questions ;) - just joking). Has anybody figured out what damages mean?

Back when Hunt and Jump was just beginning (and HaJ1 will be 11 years old later this year), Ammit had not yet developed any (or many) of the tests we now have to determine if a horse will be better at showing or breeding. I have heard (I wasn't playing the game back then) that damages were introduced to indicate that a horse would not be great at breeding. The higher the damages, the worse they were. I've also heard that the damage amounts could be extremely high.
Now most damages are less than 10 hbs, in my experience, although I had a spayed mare turn up with over 20 this morning. She's young yet, so I will give her a chance to gather points to cover the expense, but if she makes a habit of it, off to the auction with her.De gustibus non disputandum.
