Just a couple of questions :)

Hi!
I've just got a couple questions, mainly about showing, breeding quality and pastures.
How does showing exactly work? Like with the levels and stuff? I've noticed a few of my horses are at World level for In-hand while others have jumped up to Green U/S and some have stayed stuck at the lower levels of in-hand. They've all only been shown twice, so I'm assuming its something to do with points? Also, I have two mares who seem to like placing last, even though they are consistent and passed mare advice lol Is this implying they would be better brood mares than show horses? Another filly that I bred from an outside stud was a bit strange with testing- she passed mare advice, but then the showing aptitude test said she would be better of spayed and shown. Which do you listen to?
Lastly, can you show horses that are currently in the pasture? I've thrown a couple of the three year old mares in there as they apparently get a breeding bonus? I've got two stallions that passed all the free testing so was going to breed some mares to each, but if they can't be shown that is not really ideal as I don't have all that many horses at this point and show profits seem to be minimal lol And wha is the best way to improve your stock if you don't have access to the performance testing and papering? Just listen to the gelding/mare advice and hope for the best?
Thanks! -

Most people go by what the gelding/mare advice recommends. Pastures do not show, and if you pull a mare from a pasture at all the pasture foal bonus resets to 0.
(don't mean to sound abrupt....I've got rotator cuff tendonitis issues and typing hurts right now! :( ) -
Thank you! That makes much more sense now lol

Anything for a Gallifreyan Angel! As long as it is not weeping!

I promise I'm not, but then again, maybe you shouldn't blinkThanked by 1jailee

I think I've got it all under control for the minute! I made a couple more foundation mares today as I saw a perfect foundation herd helper on the board and then won the 10k creation lottery which was AWESOME! I bred them to the other stallions to get some era 4 foals as its apparently better to breed within the same era? They were of course all chestnut colts, but all bar one passed the gelding advice so I'm pretty happy with that :D
Thank you guys for being so helpful and welcoming! -
Eras are not that big of an issue unless you are chasing points on that particular leader board (and I don't know anyone who does for the Eras leaderboards). Even if you breed unmatched eras you will get the lower one, so it's not something a lot of people worry about.
Even generations, however, are a big deal, even though we've been told over and over again that it is just our stubborn mindsets! -
But there is no right or wrong way to play the game, as long as you aren't hurting someone else or flouting the rules. Breed however you want! Spend some time on the Breeders Club boards clicking on horses and looking at them to try to get an idea of the colors and patterns out there. It will help you decide if you want to breed for certain colors or patterns or if you want to just have a little of everything, also spend some time playing with the Horse Search. It's in incredibly powerful tool and one I use nearly every day playing this game,Thanked by 1Olio900

Oh okay, I might have been confusing generations with eras then. I knew there was one that was not ideal lol For now I will keep showing while I wait for roll over and see what next season brings! Maybe buy some more geldings lol
Thank you all for all your help!
