Next month's excitement.
-
Well, it's almost roll over time, and that ominous phantom that is hanging over our heads grips the air, so I thought it would be nice to think of something a little lighter in mood. I might be loosing a good boy, but I have several 2nd and third gen mares (relatively) that will be coming of age, including some sooty +girls, and my first two 4th gen gals as well, so that will be fun. I am also really excited about my five stallions coming of breeding age. With over a hundred colts that year, I think the fact that these are the stallions coming of age in my breeding barn says something in itself.
Arad Doman- High B g2 dun boy. The only thing I could want more from him would be for him to be EE
Black storm- 2g quality. He is same quality as Doman, and may possibly carry DP. It will be fun trying to test if he has it. He might be for sale later, as there will probably be cool boys down the road I want to keep, but I am still proud of him.
Distinctive Star- Isn't quite as high quality as the others, probably mid B, but he's het GP. It will be fun seeing what his children do in my herd.
Dark Bandit- my 4g boy. Really wasn't a color I thought I'd keep, but with his P score and breeding ability he well makes up for it. So proud of how he did in the liver PT leader board last month, and can't wait to see some foals from him!
Brynjar's Flame- Ok, he really isn't one I bred, so to say, and I haven't been waiting too long, but can't wait for next month when I can breed my foundational mares again and my Exper stallion turns three. Did some GMT work on him and he should do very nicely as a herd sire.
So everyone, who are you excited for next month? Have any colts or fillies you can't wait to turn breeding age, or eager so see them in their two year old coats? I would love to see them, and feel free to post their foals next month if they have them too! -

He will be of breeding age next month. I am excited about his foals. He will only get to stand for the public because I don't have any 3g mares for him. He is out of Mystic Rose stud that I bought for his blue eyes. -

I plan on breeding at least on of my 3rd Gen mares to BFs Lighthearted. Haven't picked which one yet.
I'm excited to breed some of my first fourth generation soon. I've been waiting 4 months for them

I'm alwaysss excited for my girls to turn 4. Here are some of my favorites (a few of them say untested because they passed SMA and when SMA got even more strict I turned their testing off before I retested everyone because I was too scared to lose them lmao)
Three of my Axiom boys will be of age which is exciting
And this 8th gen KP boy
I know this post is already long enough but here are just a few that I'm super excited to see as 2 year olds

I'm super excited about December for Secret Santa, which is definitely my favorite event on HJ2. I love searching for, finding and giving presents in real life and I love both finding and giving presents to my giftee and helping others find the perfect present in my barns for their giftees!!! Plus it just reinforces how awesome our community is here.
Besides that, I'm super excited for these two boys to come of breeding age. I bought two gen 2 A papered clones to replace my Dark Pearl last season and they will be three this year, so I can't wait to see their first foal crop!
Introducing
KTF Khanjar Rose, from the amazing Kintara
And
BT Ability Bells, from the terrific Beadingterri
While I now understand what Ammit said about not having quite the same trouble getting gen 2 As in the near future (now that Exceptionals are available on this server), I'm really glad I got clones from the old blood to carry forward into this new era...
I've also acquired quite a few new RS mares this season, some of which gave me Axiom babies but all of which will be in pastures this season. Among them are 5 new Snowflake mares and I cannot tell you how excited I am to FINALLY breed some Snowflake foals. My Deus (Snowflake foundation stallion) rocks but I have been totally unsuccessful (due to a distracted and scattershot gen 2 breeding plan) putting homozygous foals on the ground. So I am hopeful this season between revamping my gen 2 pastures over the break and these girls that this, finally, will be my year!
Everyone else's new ponies are so cool! Can't wait to see the Show Off Your Two Year Old and Year 42 Foal threads next season! -
Awesome! Love everyone's ponies!
Love Vistani Imp, and Ability Bells is absolutely gorgeous too! Can't wait to see everyone's babies next month! -
Oh Cheers I love your clones! Thats awesome that you have some old blood to carry forward! Very special. I'm excited to see your snowflake babies!
