@CrunchyFarmMama, I would think they could be valued the same as a regular create since they do not have any increased breeding or showing ability compared to a regular herd helper. I wouldn't pay much more than create price unless they have a desired gene that I'm breeding for.

For example, I am super excited about getting black tobianos with the Blackout event because I breed tobiano in my lines. So I might pay a little extra if I find one that I really like. But if the horse is simply black without any extra genes, I wouldn't pay more than create price because there was always a chance I could create that horse myself.

EDIT: As Confluence Farms said, the rank of the herd helper might influence the price too.

The Blackest Night are Brindle, so it just depends on how much someone is willing to pay to get a Brindle, because Brindle doesn't pass on much to offspring. I wouldn't ask a lot above create, but a little above. If you don't sell th horse you can always lower the price, or do a forum auction. Since, the chances of them passing on the brindle is slight.
