Selling straws?
-
How much does one sell them for? I have never done this so not sure what to do next after I collect?
-
Straws cost 500 each to collect, so that is usually the base price for selling (not trading) straws. Then you need to decide what your stallion's quality and genes are worth. Stallions that are normal creates or plain colors are generally not worth as much as well bred lined stallions with lots of bells and whistles.
I generally take my boys' normal stud fees into account, but I rarely do straws for studs that are available via public breeding so that doesn't really help me!
Really, the market will tell you what they are worth. I don't keep a stockpile of straws from stallions I own--I pull as needed to sell because I have a big stock of other people's straws! -
Someone asked me to pull from my Pearlotta stud and since I haven't done straws before was wondering.
